Hello, I’m Prof. Dr. Güney Yılmaz, a pediatric orthopedic specialist based in Ankara, Turkiye. I graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2001 and completed my residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the same institution in 2007. Following my training, I pursued two advanced clinical fellowships in the United States, focusing on pediatric orthopedics and limb deformity and lengthening surgery.
Throughout my academic and clinical career, my primary focus has been on musculoskeletal disorders in children—conditions that can affect growth, posture, and mobility. I have extensive experience in the early diagnosis and treatment of developmental hip dysplasia, clubfoot (pes equinovarus), intoeing gait, and cerebral palsy.
Families seeking an experienced pediatric orthopedic surgeon in Turkiye can count on our avanced academic knowledge and compassionate clinical care.
Children are not just small adults. Their bones, muscles, and joints grow and heal differently, which means orthopedic conditions in children require specialized knowledge and a careful, growth-conscious approach.
As a pediatric orthopedic surgeon, my goal is not only to treat existing conditions but also to preserve and support each child’s future growth and development.
Above all, I prioritize evidence-based care, clear communication, and supportive guidance for families — helping them make informed decisions with confidence.
